Hey there. I’m Lisa and this blog is an occasional journal of recipes I’ve tried and enjoyed.

I love tasting new foods, exploring regional foodways and mastering techniques.

Growing up in the South, I learned that food was more than sustenance. What we eat says a lot about who we are and how we were raised. Food traditions create a sense of place, especially in the South. Women especially developed reputations based on their cooking skills (and sometimes their kitchen eccentricities).
